Finally, a medical professional talking against the established food pyramid of the 1940s/1950s. For years I and astrology have promoted this idea of that food pyramid NOT being for everyone all the time. I have not yet read this book. However I do believe that there would be a few areas that I would agree with Dr. Willet.

"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley
Originally published in 1932, so called "christian" individuals rant against Huxley's "Brave New World" as a major writing that promotes "cultural engineering". My view is that the book "Brave New World" is more of a prophetic look into the future and the methods that controlling powers will use to more closely look at how a society is better controlled/more likely to be controlled. If we look closely at the things that are happening in today's society we are able to see that many of these "engineering" methods are slowly creeping into societal acceptance. Comment by Monarch
"1984" by George Orwell
Written prior to 1949, the book "1984" has been an apparently very accurate projection of methods used by governments to control their citizens. Although ostensitbly written, by a "socialist", against the controlling nature of 1940s era "Communism", I believe "1984" speaks very accurately to the methods increasingly used by most present governments of today to control their citizens. It has been/is my belief that organizations within the United States government are presently using such tactics to get a better handle on controlling citizens of the USA! United States citizens should definitely beware of the full future intent of their government! Comment by Monarch
